What is Austin Tech Trends?
An independent, founder's-eye read on Austin's early-stage startup scene — what it's actually like to build a company here, the accelerators and coworking rooms, raising a round in Texas, and the realities nobody puts in the pitch deck. Reported from founders and operators, not funds.
Does the site rank or rate companies?
No. We don't publish rankings, roundups, or winners lists, and we don't reproduce anyone else's. What you get here is original reporting, in our own words, built from the public record and from talking to the people building.
How is this different from ATX Tech Trends?
ATX Tech Trends takes the macro view of Austin's tech economy — what's rising and cooling across the whole market. Austin Tech Trends stays at founder altitude: the garage-stage, the first hire, the first check. Same network, different vantage.
Is the content free?
Yes. Everything here is free and accessible — no paywalls, no mandatory signups, no pop-ups.
