02 The three global founder narratives
- "We are the new center." Heard in Beijing, Bangalore, Tel Aviv, and Singapore. These ecosystems no longer measure themselves against the Bay Area — they measure themselves against each other.
- "We are the specialist." Heard in London (fintech), Berlin (climate), Tokyo (robotics), Stockholm (climate). Confidence in their lane, comfortable with not being a generalist hub.
- "We are leapfrogging." Heard in Lagos, Nairobi, São Paulo. Skipping entire generations of technology — going straight from no-internet to mobile-first AI agents.
